Angela C. Santomero
Angela C. Santomero began her career by co-creating Blue’s Clues, which revolutionized the world of children’s television when it debuted on Nickelodeon in 1996. Through its pioneering “interactive-first” format, the series became a global phenomenon—earning critical acclaim, redefining early childhood education on screen, and spawning a multi-billion-dollar franchise that continues today through Blue’s Clues & You! and the Paramount+ feature film Blue’s Big City Adventure.
What sets Angela apart is her research-based creative philosophy. She integrates formative research into every stage of development and production, ensuring that every episode delivers measurable educational outcomes while remaining emotionally resonant and deeply entertaining. Independent university studies have demonstrated that children not only learn from her programs—but retain those lessons years later.

These results confirmed what educators and parents already knew: Angela’s shows don’t just entertain—they teach emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience that last a lifetime.

Continuing the Legacy:
Angela’s next major success came with Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, inspired by Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood and produced for PBS KIDS. Premiering in 2012, the show immediately became PBS’s #1 preschool hit, outperforming Sesame Street and holding the top spot among children ages 2–5. The series continues to air and stream today, extending Fred Rogers’ legacy for a new generation through songs, stories, and social-emotional learning.

Beyond her success as a show creator, Angela has built a career that bridges creative excellence and business leadership. After creating beloved series like Super Why! and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood (leaders in children’s media across broadcast, digital, and consumer products) Angela founded Out of the Blue Enterprises, her independent production studio.
Under her leadership, the company developed, produced, and licensed award-winning preschool series for major global networks. It was later acquired by 9 Story Media Group, one of the largest children’s entertainment companies in the world. Angela was appointed Chief Creative Officer, overseeing global creative strategy, brand extensions, and new IP development across the company’s portfolio.

Her creative and strategic leadership helped position 9 Story as one of the top producers of children’s media worldwide.
In 2025, Angela launched Make A Kids’ Show, a comprehensive masterclass and creator education platform designed to mentor the next generation of children’s storytellers, furthering Angela’s ongoing commitment to elevate the quality and integrity of children’s content across the industry.
